HiBye, an ecommerce retailer in Singapore, grew organic search traffic 223% across a 4-month SEO engagement with Aemorph, from 325 monthly organic visits in November 2022 to 1,049 by March 2023. It is an early-stage, short-burst result from a low base. For a retailer, organic visits from SEO (search engine optimisation) bring shoppers to your product pages without a cost per click, where your sales start.
HiBye's Ahrefs-estimated monthly organic visits more than tripled in four months from a low base.

The Retailer's Search Position Before the Engagement
When the engagement began in November 2022, HiBye's young online store drew little organic traffic, a low starting base recorded in the table above for every later traffic gain.
Why does a new or growing ecommerce retailer see fast early gains from a verified product record?
Starting from a low base, your store has the most room to gain in percentage terms, because the same absolute increase in visits is a larger share of a small starting figure than of a large one. HiBye's 223% gain sits on a base of 325 monthly visits, which makes it a short-burst result.
What Aemorph Did for HiBye
Aemorph's 4-month SEO engagement with HiBye, an online florist, ran from November 2022 to March 2023 and paired on-page changes to its service pages with a steady monthly flow of backlinks, the two levers that bring shoppers to a young store's pages. Across the engagement, Aemorph:
- Recommended on-page changes for HiBye's service pages.
- Built 12 quality backlinks every month.
If your store is new and its pages are only starting to rank, this is the focused, two-part work behind HiBye's early result.
On any ecommerce store, Aemorph's method also covers three foundations, built on a verified record, the single approved set of facts about your business: one checked record of the retailer (its product range, categories and attributes), a catalogue organised into structured category and product pages so a search for a specific product has a specific listing to match, and product and category pages connected through internal links and structured data, so a shopper moving from a category to a product finds the same details on both.
What does a verified record include for a new ecommerce retailer?
For a new or growing ecommerce retailer, a verified record includes structured product data, category hierarchy and product attributes. They are formatted so a search engine reads a precise, accurate specification instead of inferring one from unstructured page text.
The Results: A Fast Early-Stage Gain From a Low Base
By March 2023, HiBye drew 1,049 Ahrefs-estimated organic visits a month. Seven of the nine case-study results are annualised to a twelve-month rate; HiBye's 4-month gain from a low base is a short-burst result, so it carries the raw figures only.
| Metric | Before | After | Period | Change | Annualised rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Organic traffic (Ahrefs-estimated visits/month) | 325 | 1,049 | Nov 2022 to Mar 2023, 4 months | +223% | Short burst, not annualised |

How is the annualised growth figure calculated?
The annualised figure is the end value divided by the start value, raised to the power of twelve divided by the number of months, minus one. Aemorph does not apply it to HiBye's 4-month result, because projecting a short burst from a low base across a full year overstates the pace a retailer sustains, so the rate reads "Short burst, not annualised".
What This Result Demonstrates
HiBye's result shows how quickly on-page changes and a steady monthly flow of backlinks lift search traffic from a low base: an early-stage, short-burst result in four months, not a sustained annual rate. The comparison covers two dates, so it does not isolate which part of the work caused the change. Your next step at this stage is GEO (generative engine optimisation): getting a specific product cited inside the AI chats when a shopper asks for a product by name or use case, not only ranked in a Google results page.
Replicate This Result With Ecommerce SEO
Aemorph's ecommerce SEO service builds your verified, product-by-product record first, including when your store is early in building its online catalogue. The same record also underpins broader SEO and GEO.
