Aemorph

Privacy Policy: How Aemorph Collects, Uses and Protects Your Personal Data

Aemorph collects personal data through its website enquiry form, through Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel, all loaded by Google Tag Manager, and handles that data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in Australia's Privacy Act 1988. Good Vibes Only Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202040199H), the Singapore company that owns the Aemorph brand and signs Aemorph's client contracts, is the organisation responsible for the personal data the website collects. Send a personal data request or a question about the policy to Kevin Dam, Aemorph's data protection contact, at privacy@aemorph.com; Aemorph responds within 24 hours.

Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Data

Good Vibes Only Pte. Ltd. owns the Aemorph brand and signs Aemorph's client contracts, and it decides how the personal data collected through the website is used. Wherever the policy says "Aemorph", it means Good Vibes Only Pte. Ltd. Aemorph's headquarters sits at 34 South Bridge Road #03-01, Singapore. Aemorph adheres to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and commits to handling personal data in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in Australia's Privacy Act 1988. Kevin Dam is Aemorph's data protection contact for both, at privacy@aemorph.com.

What Personal Data the Website Collects and Why

The website collects personal data from the details you enter in the enquiry form, the usage data Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Analytics record about a visit once you accept analytics, and the visit data Google Ads and the Meta Pixel receive once you accept advertising cookies. Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools report on how the website appears in search. Aemorph sends email through Resend and Bento.

Each tool plays a different part. Google Analytics 4 records usage data; Google documents that its default implementation collects session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser and device information, and stores a client ID in a first-party cookie to tell visitors apart. Google processes that data on Google's systems. Ahrefs Analytics also records how visitors use the website. Google Ads and the Meta Pixel measure Aemorph's advertising on Google and on Meta's platforms. Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools show Aemorph how the website appears in Google and Bing search. Google Tag Manager loads the tags that run on the website, including Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel; it is not itself an analytics store. The enquiry form sends the details you enter to Aemorph's inbox. Depending on the service selected (organic search, paid search, or content and strategy), those questions cover the markets you want to be found in, your business's approximate annual revenue and whether an agency or an in-house team runs the work; whether you already invest in search advertising and your monthly Google advertising budget; or the type of content production you need, your monthly content volume and whether an agency or an in-house team produces it. Aemorph stays responsible for the personal data it collects through each tool. On a first visit a cookie banner sits over the page, and the page is not usable until you choose "Accept all" or "Choose settings". Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Analytics run only after you accept analytics, through "Accept all" or by turning analytics on in "Choose settings"; until then neither analytics tag runs. Turning analytics off later stops analytics cookies for you from that point; Google Ads and the Meta Pixel load only after you accept advertising cookies; and a "Cookie settings" link at the foot of every page changes your choice at any time. The enquiry form works whatever you choose on the banner. Aemorph's cookie policy places each tool in a cookie category and explains how you block or delete cookies.

Some of this data is processed outside Singapore and Australia, and the countries depend on the provider. Google processes Google Analytics 4 data, Google Ads data, and the enquiries that arrive in Aemorph's Google Workspace inbox, on Google's systems; Google does not say which data centre holds a given record, and its published data centre locations are in the United States, Chile, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany and the United Kingdom. Vercel hosts the website: the code that receives an enquiry runs in Vercel's Singapore region, and Vercel serves the website's pages from locations around the world, including locations outside Singapore and Australia. Ahrefs processes Ahrefs Analytics data, and Meta processes Meta Pixel data, on their own systems. Resend stores and processes email data in the United States, and Bento hosts subscriber data in the United States on Amazon Web Services. Where a provider processes your personal data outside Singapore, Aemorph uses providers bound by data processing terms that give your data a standard of protection comparable to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

How Aemorph Uses and Protects Personal Data

Aemorph uses personal data for the purpose it was collected for: an enquiry is used to reply to that enquiry, analytics data is used to measure how the website performs, and advertising data is used to measure Aemorph's advertising. Aemorph keeps personal data for as long as it needs it for the purposes in the policy. Google Analytics 4 keeps event data for 14 months. Enquiries stay in Aemorph's inbox as the record of your correspondence, and Aemorph deletes yours when you ask. Bento keeps a subscriber's details until that subscriber asks Aemorph to delete them; an address that unsubscribes stays on a suppression list so that it receives nothing further. With your consent to advertising cookies, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel also let Aemorph show its advertisements to people who have visited the website. Aemorph sends its email updates only to people who subscribe to them, every update carries an unsubscribe link, and Aemorph stops sending within 5 business days of an unsubscribe request. Aemorph protects website personal data with two-step login on the Google accounts that hold enquiry and analytics data, and keeps no copy of that data on local devices. Two practices set what Aemorph collects and how you confirm a genuine contact:

  • The tools in the policy: the policy lists the tools Aemorph has placed on the website, and Aemorph collects personal data through those tools.
  • Genuine contact: Aemorph contacts you only from an @aemorph.com email address or from +65 8598 6771, so a reply to your enquiry from any other channel is not from Aemorph.

Aemorph's scam alert explains how to verify a genuine Aemorph contact.

Your Rights and How to Make a Request

You hold the right under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 to ask Aemorph for access to the personal data it holds about you and for correction of that data, subject to the conditions and exceptions the Act sets, and Aemorph gives you the same access and correction wherever you are, as part of its commitment to the Australian Privacy Principles.

  • Access the personal data Aemorph holds about you by asking for it.
  • Correct personal data that is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
  • Withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data, a right the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 sets out.
  • Complain to Aemorph first, in writing to Kevin Dam at privacy@aemorph.com; Kevin Dam, as Aemorph's data protection contact, reviews the complaint, Aemorph acknowledges it within 24 hours, and Aemorph sends you the outcome once the review is complete. Where Aemorph does not resolve your concern, complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore. If you are in Australia, you also have the option of contacting the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Send a request to Kevin Dam at privacy@aemorph.com or through the enquiry form on Aemorph's contact page. Aemorph responds within 24 hours to all communication.

If a Data Breach Happens

Kevin Dam assesses any suspected data breach within 30 days of Aemorph becoming aware of it, and Aemorph notifies the Personal Data Protection Commission within 3 calendar days of that assessment where the breach is notifiable. A breach is notifiable where it is likely to cause you significant harm or affects 500 or more people. Aemorph also tells the people affected where the breach is likely to cause them significant harm, so they protect themselves.
