The AEO-GEO Audit for Singapore Businesses: Your AI Visibility Score, Competitor Benchmark and Ranked Fix Plan in 21 Days

The AEO-GEO Audit shows your Singapore business how often ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity name your brand, and who they name instead. Aemorph tests 16 questions written for your Singapore market and buying intents. It scores your site on four layers and benchmarks you against 3 to 5 competitors in your Singapore market. You receive a score out of 100, an A to F grade and a ranked fix plan within 21 days of kick-off. In IMDA's May and June 2025 pulse survey, 73.8% of about 320 working individuals in Singapore used AI tools at work.

The AEO-GEO Audit Measures the Two Layers of Search Your Audience Reads in AI

Your audience finds suppliers through search results, through Google's instant answers and through the AI chats, and the AEO-GEO Audit reviews your site's readiness for Google's answers and tests your brand's presence in the AI chats. SEO covers the list of links. AEO covers Google's instant answers: AI Overviews, featured snippets, answer boxes and voice search answers. GEO covers mention and citation inside the answers the AI chats write. The audit focuses on GEO: it captures the answers the AI chats give to your 16 prompts, while the AEO side is a review of your pages, not a test of Google's answer features.

LayerWhere your audience sees the answerWhat Aemorph checks forWhat the audit measures

What each layer of search asks of your website, and what the AEO-GEO Audit measures in each, for a Singapore audience.

Business and consumer audiences both use AI in their research, worldwide and in Singapore. OpenAI reported more than 900 million weekly active ChatGPT users in February 2026, and Google reported over 2.5 billion monthly active users of AI Overviews in May 2026. In G2's survey of 1,076 B2B software buyers and decision-makers, run in March 2026 and published in April, 51% said they start research in an AI chatbot more often than in Google, and 69% said they chose a different vendor than first planned because the vendor was part of a chatbot's recommendation. The Singapore figures, from IMDA, StatCounter, DataReportal and the Department of Statistics, follow in the next section.

What is the AEO-GEO Audit?

The AEO-GEO Audit is Aemorph's fixed-scope audit of your brand's visibility in the four AI chats, with a score out of 100, an A to F grade and a ranked fix plan. It runs four diagnostic pipelines across four scored layers, tests 16 custom prompts and benchmarks your domain against 3 to 5 competitor domains. Aemorph delivers the report within 21 days of kick-off and walks your team through it on a 30-minute call. For a Singapore business, the primary domain is the .sg, .com.sg or .com site your buyers reach, and regional variants you name for overseas markets join the scope at kick-off, with overseas firms that sell into Singapore eligible for the competitor list.

The AEO-GEO Audit Starts From a Singapore Audience That Already Works With AI

Your Singapore audience already uses AI tools at work and searches on Google, so the answers Google and the AI chats write are part of how your buyers research. IMDA's Singapore Digital Economy release of 6 October 2025 reported that 73.8% of about 320 working individuals in its May and June 2025 online pulse survey used AI tools at work. On IMDA's measure, AI adoption among Singapore SMEs more than tripled in a year, from 4.2% to 14.5% in 2024, against 62.5% among non-SMEs, so a growing share of the Singapore firms you compete with now work with AI themselves. SMEs made up about 99.6% of Singapore's 371,000 enterprises in 2025 (369,500), on the Singapore Department of Statistics (SingStat) definition of an SME as an enterprise with operating revenue of not more than S$100 million or not more than 200 workers. The benchmark sets you against the 3 to 5 competitors you name, whatever their size, and Aemorph suggests others the AI chats cite for your Singapore category when you confirm the 3 to 5. Reach is close to the whole population: DataReportal counted 5.78 million internet users in Singapore, 98.4% of the population, as of October 2025. The Singapore AI search statistics page keeps these figures with their dates.

Google held 92.16% of search engine market share in Singapore in September 2026 (StatCounter), so the AEO layer of the audit tests your pages for the search engine your Singapore audience uses. Google Ads Help lists Singapore among the countries where ads appear in AI Overviews in English, so an eligible ad is in line to show within or beside the AI Overview, subject to relevance and the ad auction, labelled Sponsored and apart from the cited sources. The audit's direct-answer and structured-data checks show whether the pages your Singapore buyers land on give Google a clear answer to quote alongside it. Bing held 4.53% of Singapore search engine market share in the same month, so the search layer of a Singapore audit centres on Google.

The Audit Records Whether AI Cites You, Mentions You or Leaves You Out

The AEO-GEO Audit records, for each of the 16 questions, whether the AI chats cite your brand, mention it or leave it out, and which brands they name in your place. In a search results page your audience compares the options and chooses. In an AI answer, the AI chat does the comparing and names the brands it recommends, and the audit records which brands appear in those answers for your 16 prompts.

StateExample answer to "best [service] in Singapore"What it suggests in Aemorph's modelWhat the audit records
CitedThe AI chat recommends your firm and links your service page as its sourceYour facts read clearly enough to recommendThe question, the AI chat, and the cited URL where the answer gives one
MentionedThe AI chat lists your firm but cites a Singapore directory or a competitor's page as the sourceA possible weak definition of what you do, or thin structured contentThe question, the AI chat and any source or brand cited instead
AbsentThe AI chat names three Singapore competitors and an overseas firm, and leaves you outWhere the answer names a competitor, that competitor holds the placeThe question, the AI chat and the brands named

The three states the audit records for each question in each AI chat, with illustrative Singapore answers.

Which questions does the audit test?

The audit tests 16 custom prompts for your category and market: 8 middle-of-funnel questions and 8 bottom-of-funnel questions. Aemorph writes the prompts after the kick-off call, once your market, audience and intent are confirmed, in the terms your Singapore audience uses, so a prompt names Singapore or a Singapore district where your buyers do. Middle-of-funnel questions ask how to choose a product or service; bottom-of-funnel questions ask who to buy from for a specific need, the question asked closest to a purchase.

Query intentExample formWhat Aemorph looks atWhat the audit reports
Middle of funnel (MOFU), 8 prompts"How to choose a [product or service] in Singapore"The depth of guide and question-and-answer content in your marketWhich brands each AI chat names, and where you appear
Bottom of funnel (BOFU), 8 prompts"Best [supplier] in Singapore for [specific need]"The sources the AI chat cites for that needWhich brands each AI chat recommends in your place

The two query intents behind the 16 prompts.

SectorMiddle-of-funnel promptBottom-of-funnel promptWhat a cited answer gives you
Corporate services"How to choose a corporate secretarial firm in Singapore""Best corporate secretarial firm in Singapore for a new Pte Ltd"A place on the shortlist before a founder registers on Bizfile
B2B software"What to check before buying payroll software in Singapore""Best payroll software in Singapore for a 50-person company"A name in the answer a finance lead reads first
Healthcare"How to choose a physiotherapy clinic in Singapore""Best physiotherapy clinic in Tampines for a sports injury"A clinic named by district, where patients search
Professional services"How to choose an employment lawyer in Singapore""Best employment lawyer in Singapore for a wrongful dismissal claim"A firm named for the specific matter

Illustrative Singapore prompts; your 16 prompts are written for your own category after kick-off.

Singapore prompts use the words Singapore buyers type: a district or an MRT station for a clinic or a restaurant, "Pte Ltd" for corporate services, "HDB" or "condo" for renovation, "CPF" or "MOM" for payroll and HR questions, and "S Pass" or "Employment Pass" for hiring overseas staff, "ACRA" or "Bizfile" for company registration questions, and "GST" or "IRAS" for tax questions. The audit records the answer each AI chat gives to that wording, not to a generic worldwide version of the question.

Why do competitors win questions you expect to own?

In Aemorph's working model, competitors win Singapore questions because each AI chat draws on different training data, different retrieval and different sources, so "best [service] in Singapore" names different brands in different AI chats. In the same model, brands with clearer facts about what they do, structured data and content that extracts cleanly, and a presence across many independent sources such as directories, reviews and media coverage, are named more consistently. The audit records which brands the AI chats name instead of you, split by middle-of-funnel and bottom-of-funnel questions, with the URLs they cite; a cited URL shows what appeared in the answer, not why a brand was chosen. For a question such as "best [service] in Singapore", the audit captures whatever URLs the answers cite, for example Singapore listicles, comparison pages, review platforms, directories or company websites. You see which Singapore listicles and directories the AI chats cited beside a competitor. In Aemorph's working model, a Singapore listicle that ranks well on Google for a category phrase puts the firms it lists in front of the AI chats that search the web for a similar phrase. Where a Singapore government listing or a trade association directory appears among the cited URLs, the report shows it the same way.

Four Scored Layers Turn Your AI Visibility Into One Score Out of 100

The AEO-GEO Audit scores your site on four weighted layers, from whether AI crawlers reach it to whether the AI chats recall you with no web access, and combines them into one score out of 100. The weights are Aemorph's own scoring model. Live citation carries the most weight because it measures the answers the AI chats give to your 16 prompts at the time of the audit.

LayerWeightWhat it measuresWhy it mattersWhat it looks like on a Singapore site
L0 Bot access25%Whether AI crawlers reach your site, bot by bot: search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot), training crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot) and Google-Extended, a robots.txt control for Gemini training and groundingEach bot has its own job: a blocked search crawler limits that platform's access to your current pages, while training access is a separate choice; the fix is a configuration changeA bot-protection rule written for overseas traffic answers AI crawlers with 403 errors
L2 Content crawlability25%How much of your content an AI crawler extracts once it reaches the siteContent that loads only with JavaScript, sits in PDFs or iframes, or hides in tabs is an extraction risk that varies by crawler; the audit measures what each crawler recoversService details sit in a PDF brochure or a tender document, not on the page
L3 Live citation rate40%How often the AI chats mention or cite your brand across the 16 prompts, with web accessIt shows the gap between you and your competitors in the captured answers to the same promptsAn AI chat names a competitor for "best [service] in Singapore" and leaves you out
L4 Training recall10%Whether the AI chats know your brand and what you do with no web accessIt shows what the AI chats state about you without live search, apart from answers that draw on the webWith no web access, an AI chat knows your brand name but not what your Singapore team does

The four layers and their weights in the AEO-GEO Audit score; layer numbering follows Aemorph's audit model.

What is browsing uplift?

Browsing uplift is your live citation rate (L3) minus your training recall (L4), and the audit reports it as a signal of how much your AI visibility depends on live web access. In Aemorph's working model, a high L3 with a low L4 is rented visibility: the AI chats name you when they search the web but far less often without web access, so the position rests on what live search finds at the time. A high L3 with a high L4 and a small gap is owned visibility: the AI chats name you with or without web access. High uplift is a gap to close; low uplift with a high L3 is a position to defend. In the same working model, recall matters for a Singapore brand because an AI chat answers some questions from what it already knows, with no live search, and a brand with low recall is missing from those answers whatever its pages say today.

Four Pipelines Run in Parallel and Feed One Diagnosis

The AEO-GEO Audit runs four independent pipelines at the same time, so your score, your competitor benchmark and your fix plan rest on one set of tests run in the same 21 days. Three pipelines feed the four scored layers; the AI Perception Audit returns a separate brand risk band. The Competitive Benchmark runs the 16 prompts with Singapore named where your buyers name it, so the competitor table shows the brands the AI chats put forward for those Singapore prompts.

PipelineWhat it checksLayer it feedsWhat you receive
Citation IntelligenceA citation readiness check across six criteria: content quality, structured data coverage, schema types and how clearly your pages define your businessL2A citation readiness score out of 100, criterion by criterion

The four pipelines of the AEO-GEO Audit and what each one returns.

Which Singapore business facts does the hallucination check compare?

The hallucination check compares what the AI chats say about your Singapore business with the facts on your website, and several of those facts are also public records your buyers check, such as your ACRA record. A Singapore buyer confirms a supplier's UEN, registered name, status and registered address on ACRA's Bizfile portal, and regulated sectors carry their own licence registers, such as those kept by MAS for financial institutions, where the Representatives Register shows the firm each representative acts for. Bizfile shows an entity's live status and registered address without a fee, the same facts an AI answer about your business states, and IRAS lets a buyer check whether a business is GST-registered before paying a GST-inclusive invoice. When an AI answer in the test contradicts the facts on your website, for example with a wrong UEN, an old registered name, a closed address or a licence you do not hold, the check records it in the category it falls under. You correct your own pages; the report shows the URLs the AI chats cited in those answers, including any Singapore directories, news sites or government listings among them, and you decide which third-party pages to ask for corrections.

Fact about your businessPublic record your buyers checkKept byWhat a wrong AI answer looks like
Registered name and UENBizfile entity searchACRAAn old business name, or a UEN that belongs to another entity
Entity status and registered addressBizfile entity searchACRAA closed office, or a struck-off entity named as yours

Financial licence or authorised activityFinancial Institutions DirectoryMASA licence type or an activity the directory does not list for you
Representatives conducting regulated activityFinancial Institution Representatives RegisterMASAn adviser named as your representative whom the register lists under another firm

Singapore public records where your buyers confirm the facts the hallucination check compares; the audit checks the tested AI answers against your website, not against these registers.

Which failure patterns does the audit test for?

The audit tests for four failure patterns: blocked bots, content crawlers fail to extract, AI chats that disagree about your business, and recall of your name without citation for the questions that decide a purchase. The patterns below are illustrations of what each pipeline looks for on the kinds of sites Singapore businesses run, from corporate sites and e-commerce stores to clinic booking pages, not findings about your site.

PatternWhat it looks likeWhat it costs youWhere the fix starts
Bot access blockedrobots.txt or a firewall blocks a search crawler such as OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot or PerplexityBot, for example with 403 or 429 errorsThat platform's search crawler reaches fewer of your current pages, so content work waits on accessA robots.txt and firewall change, not a rebuild
Content not extractedCrawlers reach the site but extract little text, because content loads with JavaScript or sits in PDFs, iframes or hidden tabsService pages, case studies and answers to common questions stay out of what those crawlers extractServe key content as HTML in the page
Inconsistent factsOne AI chat states facts about your Singapore business that conflict with another AI chat's answer or with your website, such as your old business nameYour audience reads different facts about you depending on the AI chatOne approved set of facts that matches your ACRA record, published consistently across your site and third-party sources
Brand-only recallThe AI chats know your name when asked directly but leave you out of "best [service] in Singapore" and other buying questionsYou lose the questions where your audience chooses a supplierPages that answer those questions directly, with the question and answer marked up

Illustrative failure patterns; the audit reports which ones apply to your site.

The Report Gives You the AI Answers, the Brands Named Instead and Your Grade

At the end of the AEO-GEO Audit you hold your score and grade, the answers each AI chat gave about you in the tests, the brands it named instead of you and a fix plan ranked by priority. The report sits at a live URL you share with your team, your stakeholders and your board. For a Singapore business that reports to a regional head office or to overseas shareholders, the live URL lets the people who approve budget read the same findings without a second presentation.

What each AEO-GEO Audit deliverable changes.

How is the report structured?

The report runs to four pages: your composite score, the AI response capture, the technical audit and the fix plan.

  1. Composite score: your overall grade, the score for each layer, the browsing uplift signal and a one-sentence diagnosis for each layer.
  2. AI response capture: mentions and citations per AI chat across the 16 prompts, showing where you appear and where you do not.
  3. Technical audit: the content recovery heatmap, the technical profile and the hallucination check.
  4. Fix plan: ranked P1, P2 and P3 recommendations with effort, projected impact and the route to an A grade.

The Fix Plan Puts Access First So Later Content Work Counts

The AEO-GEO Audit fix plan ranks each change by priority, effort and the layers it targets, starting with access and extraction, because the AI crawlers pick up your content changes only on pages they read. The framework below shows the fix logic; your audit produces your own list, with the effort for each fix and the projected score after each phase.

PriorityFixEffortLayers it targets
P1Set AI bot access deliberately: allow the search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) in robots.txt and firewall rules, and decide training access (GPTBot, ClaudeBot) as a separate choice; set Google-Extended, a robots.txt control for Gemini training and grounding, on its ownLowL0
P1Add schema.org markup: Organization (with your UEN and registered name), Service and FAQ on key pagesMediumL2, L3
P1Restructure key pages to direct-answer format: the answer first, the support belowMediumL2, L3
P2Publish an entity map and llms.txt: structured, machine-readable facts about your brandLowL3, L4
P2Move case studies, proof and key information into structured HTML, out of PDFs and slide decksMediumL2, L3, L4
P3Build third-party authority: Singapore industry directories, partner mentions and indexed Singapore media coverageHighL3, L4

Aemorph's fix framework; the projected score after each phase is an estimate, and no fix guarantees a citation.

The P1 fixes in this framework are configuration changes, markup additions or content edits, not development rebuilds. Aemorph specifies and verifies the structured data, and your developers implement and publish it. Entity work in depth runs as Entity Hardening (Sprint 2), Aemorph's technical entity SEO sprint.

PhaseFocusWhat changesFix type
FoundationAccess, crawlability and schemaThe AI crawlers reach and extract your key pagesBot access (fastest, a configuration change); schema and direct-answer content (fast)
AEO visibilityDirect answers and clear facts about your businessYour pages give Google's answer features a clear, direct answer, with no guarantee of selectionDirect-answer pages and structured data
GEO authorityPresence across many sources and citation in the AI chatsMore independent sources state the same facts about youEntity map and llms.txt as supporting infrastructure; third-party sources (slower)

The three phases of the fix plan. The audit delivers the plan; the fixes are separate work. The report shows the URLs each AI chat cited; Aemorph does not check those pages for wrong facts, and you decide which third-party pages to ask for corrections. Your nominated point of contact signs off any corrected wording before it goes live.

What does each grade mean?

Your grade comes from the four layer scores, and each grade from A to F describes a stage of AI readiness in Aemorph's own grading heuristics.

GradeWhat it describesTypical state of the fixesWhat moves it up
AStrong on the four layers; named consistently across the four AI chats in the live tests and in the no-web recall testsP1, P2 and P3 fixes in placeDefending the position as competitors publish
BWell optimised; schema and entity map in placeP1 and P2 fixes completeThird-party authority (P3) from Singapore industry directories, partners and media
CSome work done; citation inconsistent between the AI chatsP1 fixes partialCompleting P1, then P2, with your facts matched to your ACRA record
DAccess issues, weak schema and thin page structureP1 fixes not startedBot access, schema and direct-answer pages
FStructurally blocked: a firewall or JavaScript rendering stops AI crawlers reading the siteAccess unresolvedOpening access first

Aemorph's grading heuristics; the fix plan shows the projected score after each phase, so you see what moves your grade before you commit budget.

Which Singapore advertising rules apply when you correct what AI says?

Where the corrected facts and answers you publish after the audit are advertising, the Singapore rules for your sector apply to them. The Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore (ASAS), an industry self-regulatory body, sets general standards for truthful claims in the Singapore Code of Advertising Practice, which Aemorph's guide to the ASAS code covers. Licensed healthcare providers follow MOH's healthcare advertising regulations, and financial institutions follow the MAS guidelines on advertising, digital and social media included, within the scope each sets. Where a corrected page carries an enquiry form, the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 governs the personal data it collects. Your nominated point of contact signs off each corrected claim before it goes live, and meeting the rule stays your obligation.

General guidance, not legal advice.

Who does the work on your AEO-GEO Audit?

Your AEO-GEO Audit runs with your own account manager and Aemorph's team: Kristine and Ryan, Senior SEO Specialists and Project Managers; Tent, Trinh, Wahyu and Minh, SEO Specialists; Michelle and Patrick, Content Specialists; Shiena, Web Project Manager; and Dom, Senior Web Developer. Aemorph is headquartered at 34 South Bridge Road, Singapore. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Your account manager introduces the people on your account at kick-off, and every message gets a reply within 24 hours.

Who is the AEO-GEO Audit for?

The AEO-GEO Audit suits businesses whose audience asks AI before choosing a supplier and that want to know where they stand against named competitors. It is built for:

  • Singapore B2B companies that sell across the region and whose buyers shortlist vendors in the AI chats before they contact sales.
  • Singapore consumer brands and retailers whose shoppers research products with AI before they buy, on a phone or at work.
  • Professional services firms in Singaporefrom legal and accounting practices to consultancies, that win work when an AI chat names them for a specific need.
  • Singapore businesses with regional variants or product sub-sites that want those variants included in the scope of one audit.
  • Singapore companies preparing a tender, a funding round or a regional expansion that want a dated record of how the AI chats describe them.

It fits less well for smaller single-site Singapore businesses, which the free tools on tools.aemorph.com and the Foundation Audit serve first.

Regulated Singapore businesses, such as financial institutions under MAS and licensed healthcare providers, gain a dated record of the claims the AI chats make about them. MAS's Financial Institutions Directory lists the activities each institution is authorised to provide, so an AI answer that credits you with an activity outside your licence is a claim your compliance owner wants to see. Your nominated point of contact signs off any corrected wording, and the advertising rules of your regulator stay your obligation.

How does the AEO-GEO Audit differ from the Foundation Audit and the ESAG audit?

The AEO-GEO Audit and the Foundation Audit are separate audits with different scopes, and the ESAG audit, Aemorph's enterprise SEO, AEO and GEO audit, adds a crawl of up to 1,000 pages to the AEO-GEO Audit. The Foundation Audit pairs the AI Hallucination Diagnostic with a thirteen-area technical SEO audit that crawls 50 pages of your Singapore site. The AEO-GEO Audit is an AEO and GEO review of your site, with competitor benchmarking, live citation testing and a score out of 100 that the Foundation Audit does not include. The ESAG audit is built for large multi-market sites. Aemorph names the audit that fits your site at the end of the strategic conversation. A Singapore business whose site also serves overseas markets through another country's version settles that scope question in the same conversation.

What comes after the audit?

After the audit, the Influencer Blueprint strategy month, Aemorph's SEO strategy and roadmap from S$15,000, turns the findings into a 6, 12 or 24-month plan across SEO, AEO and GEO, on-page and off-page, with who does what by when. It is a separate engagement, quoted after you see the data, and terms are set out in your quote. On the enterprise route, the strategic conversation leads to the AEO-GEO Audit or the ESAG audit, then the Influencer Blueprint, then Attain or Apex, with the Showstopper Sensor (Sprint 1) and Entity Hardening (Sprint 2) delivered inside the engagement. For a Singapore business, the Singapore listicles, directories and media pages the audit captured beside your competitors are one input to the plan.

The AEO-GEO Audit Shows Singapore Businesses Where They Stand Before They Commit Budget

Start with the AEO-GEO Audit to see which Singapore competitors the AI chats recommend in your place, what they get wrong about your ACRA-registered business and which fixes move your score first. Where the audit finds wrong or missing answers to the questions that stop a purchase, the Showstopper Sensor (Sprint 1) publishes your approved answers from your Brand Codex, your brand's single source of truth, with the Ground Truth Guarantee, an AI accuracy guarantee, when bought on its own. The Ground Truth Guarantee: within 30 days of publishing, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity answer your showstopper questions with the facts in your Brand Codex. If they do not, Aemorph refunds 100% of your Sprint 1 fee and keeps working on the answers for a further 60 days, 90 days in total.

Terms: the Ground Truth Guarantee covers Sprint 1 bought on its own; Sprint 1 inside a monthly package carries no refund; it does not cover Sprint 2 (Entity Hardening), search rankings or Google AI Overviews. Full terms
