# Is AEO and GEO Worth It in Singapore in 2027? Traffic Data and an ROI Formula for Singapore SMEs

**For a Singapore business, AEO and GEO are worth the spend when its buyers already put their questions to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity and read Google's AI Overviews before they shortlist a supplier.** [AEO](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/glossary/#aeo-answer-engine-optimisation), Answer Engine Optimisation, gets you quoted in Google AI Overviews, featured snippets, answer boxes and voice search answers. [GEO](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/glossary/#geo-generative-engine-optimisation), Generative Engine Optimisation, earns citations and mentions for your business inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and in Aemorph's work GEO leads. Below are organic traffic and top-three ranking gains from five Singapore clients, the Singapore figures on search and AI use, and a formula that converts your own quoted fee and sales figures into a return. ChatGPT cited Aemorph 3 to 4 times and named it as a source in a logged-out session on 4 August 2026.

## The Sceptical Case for Singapore Businesses

**Not every Singapore business gets its money back from AEO and GEO, and the two plainest exceptions are visible before a single return figure is worked out.** The spend pays where buyers in your category already turn to AI answers. Where they do not yet, SEO and content foundations take priority. A company whose service pages are thin and whose credentials are unconfirmed hands an AI model almost nothing it describes correctly, at any budget. Both disciplines rest on [SEO](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/glossary/#seo-search-engine-optimisation), search engine optimisation, the work that earns your place in Google's regular results.

Put two questions to your own business first:

1. Do your buyers in Singapore already ask an AI platform before they contact a supplier?
2. Are your published facts (services, accreditations, outlets, UEN and company details) complete enough to verify?

Two yeses mean the programme opens with citation work. One or two gaps mean it opens with the foundation.

## ROI Data from Real Singapore Campaigns

**A Singapore business case for AEO and GEO sets the quoted fee against the price of being left out of the answers buyers read, and Aemorph's Singapore client records show what organic growth adds up to over an engagement rather than in a single month.** Count both sides. One side is the fee; the other is the business lost while a correctly described competitor is named in the AI answer and you are not. Every engine answers from what it has learned and retrieved about a business across many sources; your own website is one input among them. When an engine holds little about your business, it is less likely to name you for a recommendation question, a loss of a different kind from dropping a ranking place.

Pew Research Center tracked 900 US adults in March 2025 and found that [a Google results page with an AI summary produced a click on a traditional result link in 8% of visits, compared with 15% on pages without one](https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2025/07/22/google-users-are-less-likely-to-click-on-links-when-an-ai-summary-appears-in-the-results/). The study covers US users only and supports no conclusion about click rates in Singapore.

| Search page | What the user clicked | Share of visits | Sample | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| No AI summary | A traditional result link | 15% | 900 US adults, March 2025 | Pew Research Center, 22 Jul 2025 |
| With an AI summary | A traditional result link | 8% | 900 US adults, March 2025 | Pew Research Center, 22 Jul 2025 |

> **Case study · B2B technology and IT services, Singapore**
>
> **NCS Singapore grew organic traffic 475% in 16 months.**
>
> NCS Singapore, a B2B technology and IT services provider, rose from 1,497 to 8,614 monthly organic visits between December 2021 and April 2023, an annualised 272% a year. It is the longest measurement period among the five Singapore clients on this page. [Read the NCS Singapore case study](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/case-studies/ncs-singapore/)

*Organic search results, not AI citations. Source: Ahrefs, August 2026. [How results are measured](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/case-studies/#every-singapore-case-study-records-visits-before-after-and-over-time)*

In Aemorph's working model, a B2B provider's enquiries start with a search for a named capability; NCS Singapore's gain is a visibility benchmark, not a revenue figure. Budget for AEO and GEO as a position built over a year or more, not as a one-month test. These results come from the same team and SEO discipline the entity-first method grew from; they are organic SEO results.

> **Case study · Women's health, aesthetics and wellness clinic, Singapore**
>
> **EZRA Clinic went from 4 to 79 top-three keyword rankings in 11 months.**
>
> Across the same engagement, March 2023 to February 2024, EZRA Clinic's monthly organic visits rose from 210 to 4,005, a 1,807% short burst that Aemorph does not annualise. [Read the EZRA Clinic case study](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/case-studies/ezra-clinic/)

*Organic search results, not AI citations. Source: Ahrefs, August 2026.*

Of the five Singapore clients, NCS Singapore added the most monthly organic visits, from 1,497 to 8,614.

| Client | Market | Ahrefs-estimated monthly organic visits before | After | Period | Change | Annualised rate |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| HiBye | Singapore, ecommerce | 325 | 1,049 | 4 months (Nov 2022 to Mar 2023) | 223% | Short burst, not annualised |
| Casa Dental | Singapore, dental practice | 3,641 | 7,074 | 10 months (Mar 2023 to Jan 2024) | 94% | 122% a year |
| Linda Mandarin | Singapore, language education | 860 | 3,238 | 10 months (Mar 2023 to Jan 2024) | 277% | 391% a year |
| EZRA Clinic | Singapore, women's health and aesthetics | 210 | 4,005 | 11 months (Mar 2023 to Feb 2024) | 1,807% | Short burst, not annualised |
| NCS Singapore | Singapore, B2B technology | 1,497 | 8,614 | 16 months (Dec 2021 to Apr 2023) | 475% | 272% a year |

*Organic search results, not AI citations. Source: Ahrefs, August 2026. [How results are measured](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/case-studies/#every-singapore-case-study-records-visits-before-after-and-over-time)*

Rankings moved with the traffic. Top-three keyword rankings grew from 69 to 130 tracked terms at Casa Dental and from 24 to 70 at Linda Mandarin over their 10-month engagements. Short engagements such as HiBye's four months stay unannualised, so a burst is not read as a yearly rate.

Gartner's press release of 19 February 2024 forecast that [traditional search engine volume drops 25% by 2026](https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2024-02-19-gartner-predicts-search-engine-volume-will-drop-25-percent-by-2026-due-to-ai-chatbots-and-other-virtual-agents) as search marketing loses share to AI chatbots and other virtual agents; it is a worldwide forecast, not a Singapore measurement. Separately, Adobe Analytics measured that [traffic to US retail sites from generative-AI sources rose 1,200% in February 2025 against July 2024](https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2025/03/17/adobe-analytics-traffic-to-us-retail-websites-from-generative-ai-sources-jumps-1200-percent), over more than a trillion US retail site visits. Neither figure describes Singapore directly. Together they mark absence from AI answers as a risk for any business whose leads depend on classic search alone.

Because Aemorph's client figures count organic visits, the variable in your own return calculation is your quoted fee. Fee-only return on investment is the gross profit the work brings in, less the total quoted fee, divided by the total quoted fee. The total quoted fee means the fee in your quote across its full term. To find the fee-only break-even point, divide the total quoted fee by the gross profit from one new customer. A full-project version adds your other incremental costs, such as staff time spent producing and implementing content, over the same measurement period. Count only additional customers: a source label in your CRM supports attribution but does not prove a customer came because of the work, so measure against your pre-engagement baseline and count each customer once across channels.

| Input | Where the figure comes from | How it enters the calculation | What to compare it against | What Aemorph's evidence covers |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Total quoted fee | A written quote, from Aemorph or another agency, across the quoted term | Subtracted from the attributable gross profit, then used as the divisor | The same budget in a channel you already fund, such as a Singapore agency SEO retainer (Verz Design quoted SEO at S$1,200 a month in a June 2026 mystery shop) | Aemorph quotes each engagement after the strategic conversation; starting points are on the [pricing page](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/pricing/) |
| Gross profit per new customer | Your own sales records | Divides the total quoted fee to give the break-even number of customers | What one customer costs you to win through current channels | No Aemorph figure; the input is yours |
| Customers attributable to the work | Enquiry and sales records that name organic search or an AI assistant as the source, measured against your pre-engagement baseline and counted once across channels | Multiplied by gross profit per customer to give the attributable gross profit | The break-even number of customers | Organic traffic and top-three ranking growth across five Singapore clients, which measure visibility, not attributed customers |
| Time to first effect | The engagement's own timeline | Sets how much of the quoted term passes before the return starts | The length of the quoted term | Visibility in AI answers typically begins after month 3 |

*Fee-only return-on-investment inputs.*

### How much does AEO and GEO cost in Singapore?

**Every Singapore AEO and GEO engagement is quoted after a free strategic conversation, and the quote you receive is the total quoted fee in the formula.** Aemorph's published starting points:

| Offer | Price |
| --- | --- |
| Audits | From S$1,000 one-time |
| Sprints | From S$5,000 per website |
| Influencer Blueprint (SEO strategy and roadmap) | From S$15,000 one-time |
| Enterprise monthly engagements (Attain, Apex) | From S$12,500 a month |

*Smaller monthly packages are available by application only, against strict criteria; details are on the [pricing page](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/pricing/). Monthly packages are priced per market.*

Singapore businesses weighing grant support set out the PSG and EDGE route on the [PSG SEO page](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/services/psg-seo/), and the [Singapore AEO and GEO cost guide](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/guides/aeo-cost-singapore/) compares dated Singapore agency prices.

### What's the ROI of AEO and GEO for a Singapore business?

**Aemorph has no measured financial return figure for AEO or GEO; its Singapore benchmarks are organic traffic and top-three ranking growth from SEO, and the formula above converts your own numbers into a return.** Organic traffic, AI citations and attributable financial return are separate measures, and one does not prove another. The longest Singapore record on this page, with the client's sector and dates, is on the [NCS Singapore case study](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/case-studies/ncs-singapore/).

## Singapore Search and AI Use in Figures

**Singapore searches mostly on Google, almost every resident is online, and nearly three in four workers already use AI tools at work, which together set the size of the audience an AEO and GEO return relies on.** Google held 92.16% of search engine market share in Singapore in September 2026 and Bing 4.53% ([StatCounter](https://gs.statcounter.com/search-engine-market-share/all/singapore)). [DataReportal](https://datareportal.com/reports/digital-2026-singapore) counts 5.78 million internet users in Singapore, 98.4% of the population, as of October 2025. The [IMDA Digital Economy Report 2025](https://www.imda.gov.sg/resources/press-releases-factsheets-and-speeches/factsheets/2025/ar-sgde-2025) found 73.8% of Singapore workers used AI tools at work in 2024, while AI adoption among SMEs reached 14.5%, up from 4.2% in 2023, against 62.5% among non-SMEs. These are usage figures; they forecast no return for a given engagement.

| Measure | Figure | Market and date | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Google search engine market share | 92.16% | Singapore, September 2026 | StatCounter |
| Bing search engine market share | 4.53% | Singapore, September 2026 | StatCounter |
| Internet users | 5.78 million, 98.4% of the population | Singapore, as of October 2025 | DataReportal |
| Workers using AI tools at work | 73.8% | Singapore, 2024 | IMDA |
| AI adoption, non-SMEs and SMEs | 62.5% of non-SMEs; 14.5% of SMEs, up from 4.2% in 2023 | Singapore, 2024 | IMDA |

*Sources: StatCounter Global Stats, search engine market share, Singapore, September 2026; DataReportal, Digital 2026: Singapore, data as of October 2025; IMDA, Singapore Digital Economy Report 2025, 6 October 2025.*

For a Singapore SME that sells to larger firms, the closer adoption figure is the 62.5% among non-SMEs, not the 14.5% among SMEs.

## When AEO and GEO Pays Off in Singapore

**Three Singapore business profiles fit AEO and GEO spend best: an SME whose content foundation already exists, a category leader protecting its position, and an exporter chasing buyers in overseas markets.** Each profile aims the same work at a different sales goal:

- **SMEs with service pages, accreditations and outlet details already published**, which need those facts verified and completed instead of written from scratch, and so begin with a head start.
- **Category leaders under pressure from newer entrants**, which publish the attributes buyers ask about before a rival claims them.
- **Exporters with no referral network yet in their overseas markets**, which depend more on how AI answers describe them to buyers who have never met them.

Gartner research (2020) found that [B2B buyers typically spend only 17% of their time meeting with potential suppliers when they are considering a purchase](https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2020-09-15-gartner-says-80--of-b2b-sales-interactions-between-su), and Gartner's sales survey of 25 June 2025 found that [61% of B2B buyers prefer an overall rep-free buying experience](https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2025-06-25-gartner-sales-survey-finds-61-percent-of-b2b-buyers-prefer-a-rep-free-buying-experience). Neither study is Singapore-specific and neither measures AI answers. Aemorph's working model draws the link: the less time buyers spend with suppliers, the more the answers they read beforehand carry.

## When It Doesn't Pay Off in Singapore

**AEO and GEO spend is the wrong call for a Singapore business that has budget for only a short spell, expects results overnight, or refuses to fix the facts an AI model already gets wrong.** Each fails for a different reason:

- **Businesses with one month of budget.** Coverage grows as topic clusters build out across months, under the terms in your quote. A one-month budget suits the [Hallucination Diagnostic](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/glossary/#hallucination-diagnostic), a sample of 10 to 20 showstopper questions tested across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, reported in 5 business days and walked through on a call. It also suits the [Showstopper Sensor (Sprint 1)](https://aemorph.com/en-sg/glossary/#showstopper-sensor-sprint-1), a 30-day showstopper-answer sprint for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, bought on its own.
- **Businesses expecting AI recommendations days after signing.** Visibility in AI answers typically begins after month 3, once entity coverage and authority are established.
- **Businesses that will not correct what an AI model has wrong**, and keep listing a different service set, accreditation or outlet address on their website, their Google Business Profile and Singapore directories. The AI model then has conflicting facts to choose from, whatever the retainer.

### How long does AEO and GEO take to show results in Singapore?

**Your first ranking movements show within 45 days of publishing.** This is an SEO milestone for search rankings, counted from the day the content is published rather than the day the engagement begins. AI answers are measured separately, and visibility in them typically begins after month 3.
